  • The Church of our Lady, Bruges

    The Church of Our Lady is a Roman Catholic church in Bruges, Belgium, dating mainly from the 13th, 14th and 15th centuries. Its 115.6-metre-high (379 ft) tower remains the tallest structure in the city and the third tallest brickwork tower in the world. The altarpiece of the large chapel in the southern aisle enshrines the most celebrated art treasure of the church—a white marble sculpture of the Madonna and Child created by Michelangelo around 1504.

    Leaving Steve and Jim behind in Amsterdam and headed out on a 3.5 hour train journey to Bruges.

  • The Red Light District In Amsterdam

    Most of what happened in the Red Light District of Amsterdam at night, stays in the Red Light District! We did watch some snooker and played one game of pool.

  • Day trip to Tulip fields and Windmill

    Left Amsterdam to see the tulip field in Holland and a working windmill. We had to travel north for about an hour as it is reaching the end of the 2024 season and the fields around Amsterdam have already been harvested. After lunch we visited a working windmill, Still pumping rain water from the fields after 350 years.

  • Cork, Ireland - Transatlantic 2024

    Cork is the biggest county in Ireland and is part of both the Wild Atlantic Way and Ireland’s Ancient East. With over 1000km of coastline there's a mesmerizing amount of experiences to be had.

  • Nana and Great-Nana meet Cooper

    Julie traveled up to Philadelphia for a few days to meet baby Cooper and spend some time with the happy parents. She picked up Emmy and they all visited with Cooper on Friday

  • Disney Animal Kingdom

    One evening in early March, we took a quick trip to Disney's Animal Kingdom. The park is teeming with vibrant wildlife and captivating adventures. We embarked on a safari through the African savannah, where we encountered elephants, giraffes, and sleepy lions shown in their natural habitat. The lush rainforests of Asia and the mystical world of Pandora, left us in awe of the park's ingenuity and attention to detail. As the day turned to evening, we enjoyed seeing the central Tree of Life. This is our second visit to Disney's Animal Kingdom as we visited the park in 2002 with the kids.
